I think the way fares are charged is all in the favor of the customer, and very risky for the driver.
If I drove, I would want a “credit card swipe”, or some such, up front, to avoid the potential arguments afterward ..about extra fees…
Is there a citywide cab industry discussion board, for the greater boston area. We, in SF, have a pretty good one, (sftaxi.com… as I recall)
I am a former Taxi Commissioner in SF, and have property in Cambridge…
