South Boston(Southie) has always been heavily represented in the Boston,Massachusetts and even the Federal Governments. We are currently represented on the Boston city Council by District 2 Councilman Bill Linehan.
The 9th congressional district now held by Congressman Stephen F. Lynch has its stronghold in the Boston neighbourhood of Southie. Congressman Lynch now serves on the house financial services and Government reform comities.
Take a look below while Congressman Lynch asks some tough questions of Secretary of state Geithner about the financial collapse of AIG. I heard recently that some Republican got himself a hold of that Scott Brown fever that has been spreading like wildfire across the Commonwealth and has decided to run against Congressman Lynch. Now I do not like to see people win offices unapposed but I think after watching Congressman Lynch below in action you will have to admit that anyone running against him has his work more then cut out for him.
Not that it matters but, I have had the pleasure of driving Congressman Lynch and his family in my Taxi Cab and I think its worth noting they paid with a tip and did not ask for a receipt to pass it on to the American taxpayer.
